What does risk per trade mean?
It's the % of your account you accept losing if your stop is hit. Most prop firms reward 0.5-1% per trade because larger risk increases the odds of breaching daily drawdown after a normal losing streak.
Should I include commissions and swap in the risk?
Yes. Subtract them from your effective stop distance, or pad your risk percentage downward. The calculator computes the raw position size; real-world execution adds friction.
